Let's build your talk — together.

You don't need a finished presentation. You don't even need a topic yet. We keep a curated list of talk prompts across all four tracks — or you bring your own experience and we'll help you find the story inside it. Our team consults with every speaker one-on-one to shape something the audience will genuinely want to hear. All we need is someone who does real work in biotech or life sciences and is open to sharing.

Day Two · Open Floor

Everyone who works in biotech has a story. Day two is yours.

The afternoon of November 6 is a dedicated five-hour open floor — short, back-to-back talks where anyone working in biotech or the broader medical-science world can take the mic and share something real from their work.

It doesn't matter what your title is, how senior you are, or whether you've ever presented before. Bench tech, QA analyst, clinical coordinator, data engineer, grad student — if you do the work, you're welcome on this stage.

Not sure what to talk about? We keep a running list of topic prompts to make it easy — get in touch and we'll send it over, then help you shape your story.

A speaker sharing a story on stage

Nervous?
Good. That means it matters.

You will not walk onto that stage alone. From the moment you say yes to the second you step off, one small team has one job — making you look brilliant.

1

You say yes

Pick a topic, or borrow one of ours. Five minutes.

2

Meet your coach

Paired one-on-one with someone who's done this hundreds of times.

3

Build the story

We shape the arc. We design the slides. You bring the truth.

4

Rehearse on stage

Practice on the real stage until nerves turn into muscle memory.

5

You shine

Coach in the front row. Camera rolling. The room with you.

"I'm terrified of public speaking."

So is almost everyone on that stage. Your coach runs stage-fright work — breathing, grounding, and as many private rehearsals as you need. Most first-timers say the fear was gone by the second run-through.

"I've never given a talk before."

Perfect. That's exactly who this is for. We take you from a blank page to a finished talk — structure, story, timing. No experience required, ever.

"My work isn't interesting enough."

You're just standing too close to it. In one call we'll find the moment a room of peers will lean in for. The details you think are boring are the gold.

"What if I freeze up there?"

You won't be left hanging. A confidence monitor with your notes, a moderator beside you, your coach in the front row — and we rehearse on the actual stage so nothing on the day is a surprise.

A dedicated speaker coach is assigned to every single speaker — a former scientist turned communication specialist, yours for as many sessions as you need. Free, always. No upsell, no catch.

The whole team works for the speakers. That's the entire point.

Coaching, slide design, rehearsal time, backstage hand-holding, a professional recording to keep — all of it free. You bring one real story. We take care of everything else.

What you walk away with

  • A permanent, professionally-filmed talk. Multi-camera recording, edited and color-graded — hosted on a permanent biotold.com/talks page that's yours to share forever. The video most practitioners never get to make.
  • Your name in front of the industry. Selected talks are written up and pitched to biotech press and newsletters — STAT, Endpoints, Fierce Biotech, BioSpace — putting your work in front of people who matter in the field.
  • A real speaker profile that ranks. A dedicated, SEO-optimized page with your bio, headshot, talk, and links — so when someone Googles your name, "Speaker at BIOTOLD 2026" shows up next to your work.
  • The credential, done right. "Invited Speaker, BIOTOLD 2026" on your CV, LinkedIn, and grant applications — the kind of line that gets noticed in promotions and hiring.
  • The room remembers you. 600+ peers in the audience. The hallway conversations, the "I saw your talk" intros, the connections that turn into your next role or collaboration.
  • The speakers-only inner circle. Private speaker lounge, a hosted speaker dinner the night before, and direct time with keynotes and fellow practitioners you'd never get to meet otherwise.
  • Polished, not exposed. A dedicated AV rehearsal slot, optional coaching, and a slide template — you'll look like a pro on stage, even if it's your first time.
  • Free admission to all of it. Full two-day pass included. No fee to speak, no cost to attend.

What we look for

  • A real, first-person story — the failure, the fix, the lesson, the pivot
  • No proprietary data required — talk about methods, approaches, and what you learned
  • All career levels: from associate scientist to principal engineer
  • No prior speaking experience needed — we'll help you prepare
  • Honesty over polish. Stories over slides.

We review applications weekly. You'll hear back within 5 business days.
