💡 General
BIOTOLD is a two-day conference in Boston where biotech practitioners share real, first-person stories from their work. No CEO keynotes, no investor panels — just honest talks from the people who actually do the science, build the processes, and navigate the regulations. Think of it as the hallway conversation you always wished was the main event.
Anyone who works in biotech: bench scientists, process engineers, data scientists, computational biologists, clinical operations, regulatory affairs, QA/QC analysts, medical writers, CMC specialists, and more. If your daily work involves making medicines happen — this is for you. You don't need to be senior, and you don't need to be a manager.
November 5–6, 2026 (Wednesday and Thursday) at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, 450 Summer Street, Boston, MA 02210.
Yes. 2026 is our inaugural year. We're building BIOTOLD from the ground up because we believe biotech needs a conference for the people who actually do the work. We're investing in a premium venue, professional production, and a speaker experience worth being proud of.
No. BIOTOLD is an in-person-only event. We believe the best connections — and the most honest conversations — happen face-to-face. That said, select talks will be recorded and shared afterward.
Yes. Every speaker talk is professionally recorded. Speakers receive their own recording as a personal asset, and we plan to publish select sessions publicly after the conference.
BIOTOLD is organized by BIOTOLD LLC, a team of biotech industry professionals with combined experience across drug discovery, clinical development, data science, and manufacturing. Meet the team on our About page.
Yes. We are committed to a safe, inclusive, and harassment-free experience for everyone. Read our full Code of Conduct.

Yes. For groups of 5 or more, contact us at contact@biotold.com for group rates. Bringing your whole team is a great way to attend more sessions across parallel tracks.
Absolutely — and we priced it intentionally so you can. At $149–$299, BIOTOLD typically falls under the approval threshold for professional development at most biotech companies. We provide an itemized receipt, and can issue an invoice on request.
We accept all major credit and debit cards. For group registrations or invoicing, email contact@biotold.com.
🎤 Speaking
Fill out the speaker application on our Speakers page. You'll pick a track, propose a talk topic (or choose from our suggested topics), and tell us a bit about yourself. It takes about 5 minutes.
No. Many of our speakers will be first-time presenters — and that's exactly who we want. If you've never stepped on a stage but have a real story to tell, we'll provide guidance and support to help you prepare a great talk.
Absolutely not. We want stories about methods, approaches, lessons learned, and career experiences — not confidential pipeline data. Talk about the how and the why, never the proprietary what. This is by design, and it makes company approval far easier.
Standard talks are 20 minutes plus 10 minutes of Q&A. We also offer 5-minute lightning talks for those who want to share a single idea or story. You choose your preferred format when applying.
Speakers are not paid an honorarium, and we don't cover travel. But you receive a free full-conference pass (worth $299), a professional video recording of your talk, a speaker profile on biotold.com, and access to the speaker lounge. For most practitioners, the visibility and the recording are worth far more than a stipend.
Most biotech companies have a standard process for approving external presentations. We provide a "no proprietary data" policy document you can share with your legal or compliance team. Because BIOTOLD talks focus on methodology and personal experience rather than pipeline specifics, approval is usually straightforward.
The best talks are honest, specific, first-person stories: the experiment that failed 47 times, the process hack that saved months, the regulatory surprise nobody warned you about. Browse our Tracks page for dozens of suggested topics across all four tracks.
We review applications weekly and respond within 5 business days. If selected, we'll work with you on your talk title, abstract, and scheduling.
Slides are welcome but not required — we value stories over decks. Every session room is equipped with a projector, screen, microphone, and clicker. We'll send a tech guide and slide template to confirmed speakers.
